Greyhound, film diretto da Aaron Schneider, è ambientato nei primi giorni dopo lo scoppio della Seconda guerra mondiale e segue la vera storia del comandante della Marina statunitense, Ernest Krause (Tom Hanks).
Dopo anni, finalmente Ernest viene messo a capo di un cacciatorpediniere, la Greyhound, e alla guida di una flotta di 37 navi alleate.
Oltre a fronteggiare i temibili U-boat nazisti, i sommergibili della Germania, nelle acque imprevedibili dell'Atlantico del Nord, l'uomo dovrà affrontare anche i suoi demoni e gli scontri interni con il suo equipaggio.
